My goals for office are simple: transparency, accountability, and a stronger Taylor for everyone.
To succeed, we’ll begin by auditing the city’s expenses to see exactly where your tax dollars are going. No more misappropriations, no more backroom deals — every penny will be accounted for, and what's not being spent wisely will go right back where it belongs: your wallet.
Next, it’s time to stand up to the utility companies. We’re done with price gouging, done with frequent power outages, and done being taken advantage of. We’ll leverage Taylor’s position as a city of tomorrow, built today, to secure fair prices and reliable service for all.

Who am i?
I'm Patrick Hackeling, and I believe in the fundamental principles of hard work and common sense.
As a husband, father, and member of this community, I understand the challenges that everyday people face. My family—Jenn, our son Wells, and our two rescue pups, Junebug and Marley—informs the values that guide me: family, faith, and integrity.
I’m a licensed attorney and the founder of Everyman Legal, a law firm dedicated to helping those who need it most. In my work, I’ve seen firsthand how bureaucracy and inefficiency can harm those who are already struggling. That’s why I believe in clear, practical solutions that put people first.
I graduated from the University of Texas School of Law and am a founding member of the Taylor Historic Theater Foundation. I’m also involved in various land conservation and student support efforts, because I believe that a community that invests in its environment and youth is a community destined to thrive.
My approach to City Council is this: govern honestly, spend responsibly, and always welcome the people of Taylor to meaningfully weigh in to keep Taylor true.
